A Bird with Fingers

I've been pretty busy lately with school, work and life, and haven't had time to work on as much paleo stuff as I'd like to. This is something I did for an illustration project in a Psychedelic poster style.

Hoatzins are pretty trippy, the chicks hatch with claws on their wings that they use to climb around on low branches and roots above water when they drop from their nests to avoid predators while their parents fly away as a distraction. As they grow the claws atrophy and their adult wings become like those of any other bird. This stylized adult has its claws, since it's meant to be funky and not exactly 100% accurate.
